Estimator / Cost Engineer – £33,000 – £35,000

A competitive starting salary of £33,000 – £35,000 will be offered to the successful candidate, depending on experience.

 

The Successful Estimator / Cost Engineer will be required to:-

Be responsible for analysing a range of CAD data and information sent in from the customer.

Develop and Map out the manufacturing process.

Obtain tooling costs in order to compile and submit comprehensive quotations to the customer for piece part price and tooling, together with feasibility and contract review.

Carry out the technical and contractual review of tender enquiries and prepare the estimate in a logical and precise manner, following QA procedures and utilising the computerised estimating package (CAD) along with Microsoft Word/Excel.

Liaise with internal divisions / departments to obtain relevant quotations and information tender

Attend site visits and tender review meetings with clients (UK and overseas)

Attend meetings to brief the project team should tender be successful

 

The Successful Estimator / Cost Engineer will have:-

The ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.

A strong understanding, and or, experience of working with press tools.

An understanding of the capabilities in the manufacturing of pressed parts.

An understanding of ISO 14001.

Excellent Computer Skills, to include CAD and Microsoft packages.

Working hours: Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 1pm.
