Sales Manager – £70,000 Plus Bonus

A unique opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Sales Manager to join an expanding Company within the Employee Benefits market. As the Company are currently going through a transition period, this is a fantastic opportunity to have a strategic influence over the whole of the sales team, as well as contributing to the development of the business as a whole.

A basic salary of around £70,000 will be offered together with an attractive bonus structure and car allowance.

The Sales Manager will be required to:-

Identify opportunities to increase sales with both new and existing customers.

Achieve new business target.

Manage the internal and external sales teams, to include; recruitment, training, setting and monitoring targets.

Lead the sales team to ensure all opportunities are maximised and sales are closed to increase revenues.

Qualify opportunities to assess the likelihood of success.

Develop sales and marketing initiatives.

Drive marketing plan ensuring colleagues buy in to and act on this.

Support the business through their current expansion phase.

Oversee database management conducted by the marketing team.

Manage bid process to include having a key influence over contracts to bid for and debriefing following bid decisions.

Lead preparation of pitches.

Provide an exceptional level of service to customers in line with Company and FCA protocols.

Maintain required industry and technical knowledge.

Build relationships with key decision makers.

Ensure all clients, new or existing, have all relevant documentation required.

Attend networking events as required.

Work to ongoing sales targets, both individually and overseeing the team target.

Recognise and reward success within the sales team.

Contribute to the development of the business as a whole including being part of a team constantly looking for better ways of running the business.

The ideal Sales Manager will have:-

Experience in a relevant industry, i.e. Group risk or employee benefits (essential).

Sales experience.

Strong commercial acumen.

Self-motivated approach.

Experience managing a sales team (essential.)

Strong technical, market, product and process knowledge.

Strong communication and influencing skills.

An ability to build strong relationships.

Degree level of education / CFP desired but not essential.

A competitive basic salary of around £70,000 depending on experience.

Opportunity to earn bonus on top of basic salary. This is uncapped but realistic OTE £95,000.
