Area Sales Manager – £45,000 – £54,000

Our client, a leading manufacturer within the metal cutting tool industry are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Area Sales Manager to join their successful regional sales team.

This role may be suitable for someone who has done a similar role before or alternatively someone from a shop floor cutting tool background/ running a CNC who is looking to develop and take the next step in their career. Extensive training and all resources provided to ensure maximum success in the role.

The successful Area Sales Manager will be required to:-

 Successfully manage sales area in order to generate new business opportunities and grow existing accounts.
Sell cutting tools both directly to customers and to distribution network.
Cover sales in designated geographical area- OX (Oxford), SL (Slough), RG (Reading), HP (Hemel Hempstead).
Work with high profile customers, predominantly within the automotive and aerospace industries.
Maintain pipeline of opportunities.
Acquire and develop knowledge of both sales and industry in order to be successful in the role.
Submit reports to show growth of accounts.
Demonstrate products.

The Area Sales Manager will have:-

 A keen desire to progress within the cutting tools industry.
A Mechanical Engineering/ Technical Apprenticeship or related qualification.
A desire to develop career and remain with Company on a long term basis.
Central location between the above areas to ensure reasonable commute times. Bulk of current customers are based in Newbury, Reading and Slough.
Full driving licence (essential).
Ability to manage own diary.
Ability to work using own initiative.
Strong relationship building skills.
An ability to read engineering drawings.
Strong IT skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Planning and organisational ability.
A professional and resilient attitude.
