IT Support Engineer – £18,000 – £22,000 – Negotiable

IT Support Engineer wanted.

An exciting opportunity at an IT Managed Services Company based in Plymouth has arisen. Our highly regarded client are looking to recruit an IT Support Engineer to join their talented team and contribute to delivering a professional service to their clients.

This really is an excellent and rare opportunity for a motivated and driven IT Server and Network Engineer, to work and develop within a dynamic and rapidly growing business.

The successful candidate will be required to:-

Work effectively and predominantly from the office, but will require some travel to customer sites.

There is also an on call, out of hour’s rota, which you would be expected to participate in along with the other engineers. (A full clean UK driving license is essential).

Work within a small team of dedicated IT professionals.

Work within a busy operations center, where you will provide remote and onsite support to customers as well as scoping new solutions to a broad range of customers.

Oversee entire projects and work with clients to turn their issues into resolutions.

The ideal candidate will have:-

Helpdesk experience and ideally technical IT certifications, such as Microsoft MSP, MCSA, MCSE, and/or Cisco CCNA, CCENT.

Excellent experience and knowledge of Active Directory.

Excellent experience and knowledge of Networking Hardware, configuration and troubleshooting.

Experience and knowledge of Virtualisation Platforms, VMware and/or Hyper-V.

Experience and knowledge of Wireless Technology.

Experience and knowledge of Infrastructure Monitoring Technology.

Advanced Windows Server Platform Experience in Server 2008 & 2012.

Advanced Microsoft Exchange Experience in 2010 & 2013.

Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Networking Devices.

Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Storage Area Networking Devices.

 Experience in Cloud Services – Office 365 & One Drive.

 The ability to be self-motivated and proactive.

 An ability to prioritise workload and issues.

 Accuracy and attention to detail.

 An ability to Troubleshoot and resolve.

Benefits to include:-

 Working hours: Split between 8am-4pm and 9am-5pm. Mon-Fri.

 A starting salary of £18,000 – £22,000 depending on experience. (Negotiable for the right candidate).
